I’ll be in Maui for the next five days, and while I’m trying to reset and find peace, my mom will be left to bail her out of jail—again. I’ll end up sending money, which will land her in some cheap, drug-ridden motel, wearing the same clothes she was arrested in. And still, all I want is to help. But help only works if someone wants to change. Over the past year, I’ve done more than most would. I gave her a roof, lent her my car, made sure she had food, covered utilities, handed her money, and even fronted her when she needed it. I gave her time to get on her feet and adjust. But instead, she lied, cheated, and manipulated every man she could get close to—because that’s what she does. That’s what Bakersfield raised her to be. Still, I saw something in her. I hoped. I believed maybe this time would be different. But the truth is, people won’t change unless they want to—and she never wanted to. She’ll betray the one person who fought for her, even hooking up with my fiancé just to spite me over something as petty as a parking ticket or not following a schedule. And now? She’s right back where she started. No job. No home. No real friends—just some 50-year-old Bakersfield rejects. No family left but the one she burned. Me. She lied about working when really, she was messing with my lawyer in his car for $2,500 to cover her legal fees. Meanwhile, I kept paying for her life, cheering her on, saying I was proud of her. Telling her to save, while she was busy playing me the whole time. This is what happens when your kindness turns into someone else’s opportunity for manipulation. I only wanted her to have a better life—to not end up like her father, the one with borderline personality disorder her mother warned me about. But she did. She became exactly like him. And now she’s left with a child, no money, and a legacy built on lies. That’s enough karma in itself. She used me to the core and that’s not the person that I know that’s not the person that I became friends with, it was like two different versions I had never seen. Lil did I know she would be on my property screaming derogatory comments about my disability and that’s how you know trash is literally hit rock bottom . Yet this person was dating someone with a severe disability that just goes to show you how this individual feels about people with disabilities. If it wasn’t for me, she would’ve ended up on the street or dead. Borderline personality disorder is no joke. I one of the absolute best for this individual but here’s the thing at that age. You’re never gonna get it.
