People don’t seem to comment on the fact that it also costs a significant amount of money to have extra heads at a wedding; this isn’t a jet2 holiday, kids don’t come free.

We told everyone it was only nieces and nephews allowed. My husband’s friend, two days before the wedding, said “oh we’re bringing X” - his girlfriend’s daughter. We hadn’t met the gf or daughter and said no. In the end he didn’t come but his loss 😂

No to kids except ours and very little babies who can’t be away from the parents, most of our friends want a night off. Your wedding your choice.

It truly depends on the age of the kids. I had a 4 month old breastfeeding baby and my friend said no which meant I couldn’t come and that says a lot about the value of me being there.

I had soft play at my wedding for the kids 😂 it was a small wedding and I only had my nieces and nephews there. Totally get people who don’t want kids at their wedding though

My wedding is catered to kids… if I didn’t have my own I wouldn’t want others there, but because we have three toddlers, it’s just as much their day as it is theirs. They’d be bored without other little people. Our main reason for inviting others is because we have ZERO childcare so we have to say no to so many outings and we would hate our friends to miss our day for the same reason 💕

I absolutely love children and I have loads of nephews and nieces, but if I was to get married right now, I don’t know whether I’d want 12 extra children running around. And of course, there are exceptions because there is one niece I am particularly close to, but I hate this thought that you can’t make exceptions either. 👍🏻

You can have ANY rules at your wedding, it’s then the guests choice if they come. We’ve had to not attend weddings due to no kids. It’s sad but totally their couples choice

I don't know why anyone wants to bring their kids to a wedding 😅 last wedding I went to my son went to grandparents and we had a night away.

I’m having only family children. I think there’s about 8. Then any babies under 6 months are allowed as I know I wouldn’t leave my baby that young 🥹

I'm not even engaged or in a relationship, and I've already told my maid of honour if she has a child now and I get married in the next 18 years, she's gotta prep that baby sitter 🤣🤣
