As an artist who pours every thing into my pieces , it’s heartbreaking to see AI-generated images being printed and sold as “original art.” Y’all the feeling of sitting infront of a blank canvas and COMING UP with an idea is like no other. There’s a difference between using AI as a tool to support your vision and relying on it entirely to create something you never physically touched. What’s even more disheartening is seeing artists carrying these pieces without transparency. It’s misleading to buyers and deeply disrespectful to the craft. Let’s be real THATS NOT MIXED MEDIA. It’s a shame. And it’s dangerous for the future of art. We can’t let authenticity be replaced by convenience. We put hours, years , our LIVES into our work. it’s more than just frustrating. It’s dangerous. It’s erasing the value of real, human-made art. the soul is being stripped out of something that was always meant to be felt. like I said previously, we’re losing the history of art in the process. Art has always been rebellion. It’s been healing. It’s been protest, celebration, culture, truth. Think back to things like cave drawings yall, Renaissance paintings to street murals, art has always meant something. It hurts seeing it being reduced to A PROMPT ON CHAT GPT.. the feeling of sitting with a blank canvas and your thoughts. To get lost in the process? To cry over a piece because you don’t know your next move? To the artists still doing art the right way even with all these “tools” I love and respect you all so much 💗💖🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
