I was a fighter even when they gave me laughing gas. I was so traumatized as a kid and didn’t trust doctors or dentists. What would you have done for a child who was terrified completely out of their mind? I know my dentist eventually just gave up and strapped me down and told me to grow up at the ripe old age of 7🥺

dental trauma is one of the worst things ever. I'd rather give birth then go to the dentist. dentist like you make a difference!

Bro when I had that it didn’t work and when the anaesthesiologist put it over my face it made me jump because I didn’t realise how loud it was and then I didn’t feel much effects. I just felt really really sleepy and I had a really bad headache afterwards so never again doesn’t work

I had a dentist like this (as an adult) I told him I have a fear of needles and he got a nurse out to hold my hand while I got the injection. She praised for doing good. Some dentists are super nice while others seems so miserable..

I'm 28 and I'm terrified of going to the dentist. Normally shots do not bother me but I'm afraid of having them in my mouth. Kuddos to her for her bravery!

I had this once as an adult after awful traumatic dental experiences and that was the best dental work I’ve ever had. Sadly I had to move from that area and still continued to have traumatic experiences. I know my teeth are bad but I’d rather not go to a dentist now..

When I was a kid they strapped me down and just started putting needles in my mouth to numb me. No comforting whatsoever and I’m still scared of the dentist, I hope I can find someone like this for my kids

I have a health condition that effects my bone and unfortunately my teeth so as a kid I’d get an uncomfortable amount of extractions. I was already upset getting the procedure but one that sticks with me is teen years 15-16 I had the dentist give me the max dosage on the numbing drug allowed for my body and still felt pain I was crying and everything hurt after. I’m 21 and still get it done unfortunately, I still need my mom there to distract me because of that one situation. I was actually really proud the other day when I got another done because I actually got through it better. Was actually numb and didn’t feel anything I’m currently still recovering from that but it’s improvement

When i was younger i had a tooth pulled, the anestetic diddnt work. I was screaming and balling my eyes out and i was just told "stop being dramatic, it doesn't hurt" Been afraid ever since then.

My first dental office induced fear into me when I was five, parents weren’t allowed back and they weren’t very gentle either, even now I still get fear but the office is really good. It’s an adult office but they still treat me with a parent - like care that is soothing

when i was younger I didn't mind the dentist until one day I was in the room and all they did was stick needles in my gums NONE stop thats all they did and they did it multiple times. after that I was just sceard to go back

It’s been 9+ years since I’ve been to a dentist my teeth are broken and only roots are in my gums. I have the worst fear of dentist period since I was a kid. Now I’m 36 broken teeth that all prob needs pulled countless infections because of it all. And still not touched a dentist ( NHS waitlist is over 6 months) and I can’t afford private ones.

I'm 20 and was traumatised as a kid by my dentist;-; she would rip out my baby teeth that weren't even wobbly yet no painkillers nuffin, just being pinned down by mum and the assistant;-;😭
