I saw a man do this at a restaurant. His girlfriend or woman he was out with was returning to the table. There was a water spot on the floor and she lost her footing in the heels she was wearing; because he was standing, he was able to move quickly, reach out to steady her. Chivalry always has a purpose ❤️

When my father was sitting at the kitchen table, and my mother, sister or myself entered the room, he always stood. Even into his 80’s when he could barely rise. A true gentleman 🥰

i remember the first time me and my girls went out w some of our boys (no cookout but actually went to a restaurant) for the first time & when we came back from the restrooms’, they all stood up , a woman will never forget etiquette decorum 🤝❤️

Listen to everything this man said except the first part. DO NOT stand up every time she returns to the table. If she’s coming for the first time then most certainly do that and greet her gracefully but other than that you don’t need to stand up every time she returns to the table you’re not a dog she might even lose respect for you. Instead greet her and ask if everything is okay, reassure her that you’re present and wanting to ensure she’s enjoying herself. Don’t stand up. I’m older than this man too so I know a bit.
