They used a denser rock to chisel it. Humans were much more focused than we are today when it came to building something they had no politics in rhe way. Now if that were diamond I would say Aliens did it. 😂

how is it impossible? as a king in those times with a whole country of workers only working on farms and housing, housing the kings fortress is 1 of 2 jobs back then. literally only 2 jobs back then. either farm or construction. it's that braindead simple logical explanation.

New desires fail to understand that time techniques and patience. Does wonders. they had a thousand years previously to figure out techniques the right chisels, metallurgy, et cetera. It wasn't f****** space aliens

is it not possible that there were less jobs, & or slaves, allowing thousands or millions of people over decades/centuries to accomplish this over hard work and determination? hammer and chizzel can get thru anything over time, even metal. idk. im sure there is a better way to ask the question but maybe you can understand what im asking.

I have to consider all things and I just think about how much time people had on their hands. There wasn't much to do 1200 years ago.

Not impossible. Just very very very difficult… but google told you it’s impossible, so it must be true. 😑

💡 someone had a vision and a job to be done.It took years to complete.Young men and women all had a chance to join to make a few coins. The debris technology all ended up in the ocean. Im sure prisoners and thousands of people were involved, plenty died and became disabled in the process. 👀

they certainly cut out a square rectangle and started to carve from the ground back up

Top down? Or maybe they cut around it making a huge rectangular slab, carving from bottom up? It doesn’t makes sense it was carved from the top down!

it's amazing, however it would have been possible to cut around a single block to the depth you need then having a center canvas, begin carving the building from the ground up. the tools they may have used probably were advanced, however the technique was most likely the same as any other building.

Saw a video where someone explained that the pinecone that we see the Sumerians holding along with a battery box somehow, I had something to do with changing the magnetic properties or somehow weakening the stone. Maybe it warmed it up and allowed it to be carved easier and somehow to be moved. It wasn’t very clear but interesting theory.

I don't know if it will go from the top down. I'm sure they dug out a perimeter around there and could've possibly started at the bottom.

no building structure as ever been build from top down. the structure around it has to come about later or after the structure was built.

why is it so hard to understand people had nothing else to do back then. there was no 9 to 5 to make your rent, car, insurance payment, there was no tv, no internet, no gym membership, there was waking up and doing what your ruler told u to do

The one thing we don’t really understand though is that whole generations of people did nothing else for their entire lives than work on this temple. There were no evenings and weekends, there was no other purpose.

As a stone mason, I can tell you with 100% certainty that basalt is not harder than granite and is not in fact impossible to chisel.. Humans had the same brains 10k years ago that we have now. This temple is an incredible feat of human engineering.
