I do headlight restoration on the side for the past 4 years. I can tell you right now WD-40 will not polish headlight clear the steel wool will leave little scratches in the lens.

WD40 is a lubricant and can actually cause a build up of dust and dirt. So this is technically, long term, having the opposite affect haha. And don’t get me started on the steel wool haha

it was never dirty like lights normally are. they sprayed a miss of dirt or something on there because those lens never clean up that easy and quick. I mean the wd40 had the dirt dripping off with no scrubbing lol
