We don't even have to fall back on "socialist will never see daylight" - especially with Mamdani's run rn. It's worse than that. SCOTUS didn't say universal injunctions were dead - they said courts *generally* lack the authority to impose universal injunctions on executive authority, which means they *sometimes* can block the executive. They can still probably block a socialist from doing stuff the establishment doesn't like, because SCOTUS is a joke.

Right now, EVERY politician on EITHER side is salivating at the thought of how they'll exploit it if they ever get in office. Dont forget that Donny wants the plaintiffs, suing the feds, to have the finances UP FRONT for if the feds are proven wrong! and the DOJ suing the Maryland district court! so, you can only sue if you're rich, if the feds get an unfavorable ruling they appeal incessantly, and threaten judges who rule against the regime!

I don’t think this is fully right. My understanding is that any federal judge can find that an executive action (or law) is unconstitutional and that would have nationwide effect. What changed is that a single judge can’t issue a preliminary injunction that has nationwide effect. While the court case is proceeding, the effect may be the same as what you’re saying though.
