Honestly, I think the ending was perfect. Gihun didn’t just survive, he proved something deeper. The Frontman believed people are naturally selfish, that when pushed, they’ll always turn on each other. But Gihun showed the opposite. That even in a place as brutal and hopeless as the Squid Game, compassion can still exist. People can still choose to be good. And then there’s that final line “We are not horses, we are humans. Humans are…” and he just stops. That unfinished thought hits hard. Horses act on instinct. They’re forced into wars, into races, into someone else's game. They run because they don’t have a choice. And maybe that’s what the Squid Game was, people running out of desperation. But humans? We’re not supposed to be like that. We’re supposed to have a choice. But choose what exactly? That’s where it gets messy. Gihun saw it all. The greed, betrayal, cruelty, but also love, sacrifice, and kindness. So what does it really mean to be human? We use the word “humanity” like it means compassion or empathy, but the people who built the game were human. The ones who killed and betrayed were human. So are the kind ones the only true humans? Or is all of it just us? Maybe that’s why he couldn’t finish the sentence. Maybe he didn’t have an answer. And honestly, neither do we. Humans aren’t just good or bad. We’re capable of everything. That word “humanity” doesn’t mean much by itself. It’s what we choose to do with it that defines us.

kinda off topic, but everytime someone says Gi Hun deserves better after the ending of season three. I genuinely disagree, Gi Hun came back to the games to save the people, stop the games and bring peace once again. But in the end when it was just him and the purest form of human (the baby) when everybody else has died. There was no one to save, the games would end with his death. And the only person left to bring peace was himself, I genuinely don't think living would have brought peace. Death is truly the only peace he had.

456 is the faith in humanity. He was surprised that he didn’t k*ll the other players in their sleep and he k*lled himself and saved the baby. I don’t think the front man was expecting that at all

I just realized something about their voting symbol. It’s just so contrasting to see them standing side by side with the O in inho’s tracksuit and X in Gi Hun’s. Throughout the season before his cover was blown, he tried to convince Gi hun to switch side and see his point of view about accepting the game. But at the end of the day, they both chose to stay to their respective ideals— Symbolized by their tracksuits. But when you take the X and O away from them (the squid game itself), they really are just two men who were struggling in life and were in the games for their families in the first place. And it showed how they could connect with each other before Inho finally revealed that he was the frontman. Idk it’s just interesting and also sad

Frontman gonna avenge gi hun in a spinoff he had no control over the games and was once just like gi hun but the games ruined him and gi hun didn’t let them change his perspective. gi-Huns final act of selflessness in the world showed front man that good still exists in humans. Now with the chance to leave the games in Korea for good as the front man I think he’s going to try to end them all across the world to prove Gi-huns point that humans aren’t horses and they are humans. The ending while it wasn’t the one we might’ve wanted it proved the whole point of squid games and it was an amazing ending. Gi-hun saved hundreds/thousands of future people from participating in koreas games and also saved people such as the frontman bc while he is very much alive he lost all hope and faith in the world bc of the way the trauma from the game shaped his life.
