Congratulations on finishing it and I totally agree with how masterfully he creates characters! Even writing dialog for animals (Levin's hunting dog) and trees (in War and Peace)

This was actually peak for me completly goes down in how people interact with each other and how every Little action may affect what Will happen later Anna starts very High in the story but ends up very low and levine starts low but ends up High pretty much because of their choice both could have endend good or bad but it happened this way

Im sure it’s a poor translation, I’m Russian and I’ve read this book more than 5 times but I don’t recall “magnanimous” (великодушный) at all. Anyway, this word has a lot of synonyms in Russian.

I loved the chapter where Levin undertakes to work in the fields with his peasants. It takes him a long time to get the hang of it, he realises how brutally hard it is to do that work, but also that the life of a peasant has real upsides and can actually be rewarding
