She is sooo true. Being shy when you’re young might be cute but when you’re older that signals to people that you’re weird, boring and have low self esteem so you can easily be taken advantage of/no one takes you seriously. Just speak up if anything learn to hold your ground. You don’t need to be super extroverted but being able to have a presence in life will get you far

When I was 20 i realized i was too shy. I decided to work at a retail store so i could meet all types of people during the shift. Within 1 year my shyness disappeared as i saw that people ain’t s*hit so just put yourself out there!

A lot of shyness comes from dimming our light or watering ourselves down to make other people feel comfortable but the more you dim your light for other people the more you are killing your authentic self be who you are regardless of what other people think. You’re not going to everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay because you aren’t meant to be.
