We watched that man go through to much, we basically watched his life. From him having no money but being happy with his daughter and his mother, then going into the game and losing everybody. When he won the game he had riches, but he lost everybody. His mother, his daughter, and everything and everyone he cared about. We watch him go into the game again just as an attempt to restore faith in humanity, to end the games for good. We can see him here being basically soulless after an attempt to end the games and once again losing somebody he cares for. In season three, we see him finally giving up. Until the old lady comes and convinces him to help 222 with her baby. He finally has something to care for. He remembers his first moments with his daughter and says that those were the best moments of his life. When the mother dies, he realizes that he has to care for the child. He sees the baby as his own daughter in a way, wishing he states in the show. When the last game arrives and there’s nobody else to sacrifice, he chose to prove that not all humans are greedy and selfish by taking his own life and leaving the baby to win. We are not horses. What I HATE is in the squid game universe literally nobody even knew what he went through and that he died in such pain and for everybody in Korea doesn’t even know this man saved 100’s of lives and sacrificed himself for humanity. Exept for the guards and the frontman of course but I mean to 99.999% of people don’t even knew he existed. He disappeared and nobody knew or cared and to most his death changed nothing without knowing his death changed everything. And also he died sacrificing himself for humanity but he knew he didn’t change the games and they didn’t stop and everything he did meant nothing. He died knowing he failed and didn’t matter. But he did and never knew or will know. I would also like to point out the fact that when he says “humans are…” I more preserved it as “humans ARE” is in humans can be anything and have no definition because of how complex we truly are.

GUYS DON'T WORRY! In-ho saved him that's why we didn't get to see him explode, which is possible because the police guy got out in time too so In-ho definitely saved Gi-hun and they lived happily ever after [happy]

he died thinking his daughter hated him, in-ho made sure that he let his daughter know.. that gi-hun still cared. He also personally delivered his belongings. Did he do that to any of the other players? No. He did not. It took him six months to let go of the tracksuit, and yeah he also waited six months to bring the baby, but you have to remember, gi-hun was associated with the baby so yeah, the baby probably reminded him of gi-hun. Also we only see a second of in-ho saying goodbye, when he went back down he probably fell apart. You can see him tear up when he sees his body. And even six whole months later he’s still broken.. when he delivers the thigs he gi-hun’s daughter he looks lifeless. Depressed. And can’t even look at her in her eyes. He said goodbye as in-ho.. not frontman. And even if gi-hun was still alive, he had pretty much nothing left to live for. He died knowing he saved one innocent life, and many more if the games had continued. He died doing what he was trying to do for years. To stop the games. He did it. As soon as gi-hun sacrificed himself in-ho stoped the games. Knowing that’s the one thing he wanted. I see this ending perfect. Sad but has meaning…

Y'all see that he's wearing white shirt while he died. I don't think is just coincidence or just because he wrapped the blazer around his hand. In my mind it has a meaning. The white color. It shows his violence and white soul. How he sacrificed himself for all the people he helped. He's the one who saw all in the right perspective. "Human are not horses.
