Also, does anyone else feel like “mother and sister” was shoed in to replace “wife and child” so that he can have a conscience-free romance with Rumi. Like, I feel that his guilt makes more sense if he abandoned his wife and child, rather than his mom and sister. Like where’s his dad or other men in the family that can help his mom? Even giving the benefit of the doubt and say that Jinu was the only male in the family that can make money, doesn’t a kid need to leave the nest at some point anyway? It just seems less devastating to me to move on from your mom and little sister, but maybe thats just my modern American brains logic. No hate, just analyzing.
