In the end, Gi-hun didn’t need to finish that sentence because the entire story of Squid Game already did.

Finale perfetto. Il regista ci lascia un messaggio forte, ma senza dirlo apertamente, ci fa riflettere su cosa vuol dire davvero essere umani. La frase di Gihun “Noi non siamo cavalli, siamo esseri umani. Gli esseri umani sono…” resta incompleta di proposito, mostra che non siamo solo istinto, ma anche scelta, coscienza. Nel gioco si vedono le due facce dell’essere umano egoismo e compassione, paura e coraggio. Alla fine non ci dice se l’umanità è buona o cattiva. Ci lascia con una domanda. Chi siamo davvero?
