Leaving the campus of @St. Jude children’s research hospital with a full heart and in awe of what they do everyday 🤍🙏🏼✨⁣ ⁣ this exact month, one year ago, I stepped away from nursing. But I always promised myself I would use my medical background and platform to spread awareness of places like St Jude 🪽 seeing first-hand what these patients and families get to experience, all because of donations, was something I will carry with me forever. ⁣ ⁣ The moment they walk through those doors, they’re immediately told they are no longer financially responsible for treatment, housing or travel. To say that’s just the start of what they do, would be a massive understatement. ⁣ ⁣ Meeting the patients and parents of St Jude and hearing their stories has changed my life forever. Not only are these families taken care of, but the research being done on campus to cure childhood cancer is openly shared worldwide so no child has to suffer. I will spend the rest of my life sharing my experience and what I’ve seen to encourage anyone who can, to help support their incredible mission.
