@american_lost_survival: During the Great Depression, the price of milk crashed so low that farmers were losing money on every gallon they sold. Processors and middlemen, however, were still profiting. Pushed to the brink, farmers in the Midwest organized the "Farm Holiday Association." They refused to sell their goods, blockading roads to prevent others from selling, in a desperate attempt to create scarcity and force prices up. Dumping their own milk was the ultimate, heartbreaking protest—a message that their labor would not be devalued. It’s a powerful lesson in history: sometimes you have to draw a line in the sand to protect your family and your way of life. What does this photo say to you? Let me know in the comments.

American Lost Survival :
What strikes me most is the solidarity. For this to work, it required immense trust and commitment between neighbors. They had to agree to suffer together in the short term for a better future. That's a level of community strength that's hard to find today. Makes you think about what we could accomplish if we supported our neighbors like this.

Miss G :
Poosevelt made it illegal to sell their products without a middleman and forced local farmers to bankrupt and so many people starved while farmers watched their produce spoil and rot. That was the way 80% of Americans, that at that time were local farmers and independent agriculturers, lost their farms, their crops their land. And Monsanto started and won. 💀

Farmer :
People forget what farmers did for this country. Now you’re seeing it at the grocery stores. It’s not the farmers making that money it’s the big corporations. While the farmer is still working a town job for 40+ hrs a week then putting in 40-60 hours on the farm. Farmer suicide is real it’s more then money to us it’s a legacy to give to our children and grandchildren. It’s used to be a blessing to have the opportunity to take over the family farm not anymore our government has to do something to help us and not the corporations taking the advantages.

Same things happening now. Workforce ballooned with middle management types. Business Middlemen raping markets for profit. If the ppl with the tools get sent home from jobs and producers stop production these parasites in labor and markets are worthless.
