I hate to say it but children in poverty will miss out on so much - especially if their parents are like rabbits and pop out children every year, as somebody who grew up in poverty all I did was wish I was in a better household with resources, love isn't the only glue to hold down a family

Literally all of us I think,, I’m positive whoever created that saying “we were poor but We had each other” wasn’t actually poor because uh…growing up super poor caused SOOOO much stress that home was rarely “happy “ and “peaceful” which created anger anxiety and resentment

it made me hate sharing plates. I once got upset at a friend because I offered to pay for a separate meal for her, and then she said no, only to grab half the food off my plate onto her own. I pulled the server aside and asked for a 2nd one to go. she noticed. I didn't even feel that bad, but even I knew that was such weird behavior.
