he never hated thanos, i feel like it was more envy and repressed anger because despite being obviously morally flawed and spontaneous and violent he wanted to feel like he was needed and cared for. and he watched out for thanos and they had some sort of unspoken bond but thanos was dismissive and impersonal and namgyu expresses a lot how he hated that part of him. grief can materialize in weird ways and i feel like namgyu, being so inwardly weak, used anger as a coping mechanism and took it out on people weaker than him to feel better about himself—so of course he was gonna say he hated thanos, because he was mad at him and probably jealous. he was grieving in his own way. thanos was a lot of the things namgyu tried but failed to imitate, especially after he died, like being explosive and reckless and a bully, etc… and i bet because how he was more of a follower and constantly fell in thanos’s shadow, it was a constant reminder of his weakness and he probably partially blamed thanos for how he felt, after he died esp. holy yap can u tell i like namgyu

Luckily, he didnt mean that, and im sure its obvious to most, but to those who dont get it, allow me to explain Namgyu said that about Thanos because he is still in the anger stage of greife, and he is trying to forget that he cared about him at all since he is entirely alone now. Also, he might have said that to convince myungi to team up with him, attempting to remake a friendship that he'll never get back.
