A lot of people don’t realize that their are two types of gamers. Story gamers and gameplay gamers and those who don’t like Death Stranding or calls it a walking simulator as an insult are those who focuses on gameplay and action moreso than the meaning/story of the game

Simply DS is for people who are familiar with japanese games. With time you understand that Japanese people have a very specific way to make and write stories.

Death stranding does the same thing to me as a loud plane interior or industrial fan in a warehouse does. Its scary and mechanical, but the humming comforts me and lets me sleep nicely.

I love this game. but I don't understand the people that dismiss it as simply a "walking sim." because yeah it IS a walking sim but it needs more thought than just holding w for an hour. but there's so much more to this game than people give it credit for

I spent my whole weekend making roads and the monorail all the way to the northern mine, then finally unlocked the zip line before I stopped last night and made a good system to get to the animal shelter and rainbow valley fast. This game is like mgsV and ds1 had a baby.

I tell you what, everything you watch, read or play, is being recycled amd repackaged since 2005, nothing changed, nothing is new and nothing is unique. Death stranding is that uniqueness in a world full of commonness :)

Yes! Everyone thinks I’m insane when I say this is my comfort game. I have over 1000 hours on DS1. I love coming home and making deliveries after a long day of dealing with retail. 🤣

way less BT encounters than DS1 made it more chill. But when the BTs show up its far from chill. Also the narrative with building up a team of super positive people around Sam on the Magellen make it relaxing. Im in the snowy mountains rn so idk how cozy the game is after that point yet. Mountains are my favorite, I like the on foot deliveries there. the mountain terrain looks so peaceful and is visually stunning.
