@bmoneyadventures: Bulls travel the streets of Terceira throughout the year in almost every village mainly during summer months. Terceira, Azores is the one Azorean Island known for bullfights in the arena as well as the street. I met a non Portuguese tourist last week from the Bay Area in California that was pretty disturbed by the street bullfights and he asked me what island doesn’t have street bullfights. I stated Sao Jorge and Graciosa, you may find some on those islands. He shared with me that he was very disappointed in Terceira because of the bullfighting. If you do not like bullfights and this tradition, please don’t come to Terceira and talk it down. Do your research, maybe Terceira isn’t a fit for you or just don’t go to a village when a bullfight is occurring but please do not knock our Terceira traditions down.
