For me, I just trust reviews from tea drinkers. Just because I like lattes, but mostly I like matcha as a tea. Some people like matcha as a dessert or coffee substitute, but I feel like without understanding it as a tea, even if they dont prepare it as a tea, they will give misguided or less accurate recommendations. But I dont think it has anything to do with race lol

do I get a pass?. I grew up in china for half my life. I know what good matcha tastes like 😫 why do so many places and people always review matcha with sugars and sweeteners in it....that's not the point of matcha. you're just drinking whatever flavours you put into it now
