so for views if you live in any of the big cities & in the suburbs then those aren't exactly the views you get in most places 😭, but its always worth a drive & adventure to find the beautiful views & places 🖤 also as for the siren, it for the volunteer fire station, you only have that in small country towns & farm Areas. the first time I heard that sound when my mum & dad moved from Auckland to Northland, I freaked out, started packed suitcases & called her to ask if there was a tsunami or if a tornado was coming & she couldn't stop laughing at me while explaining what it was 😂😭

NZ has mainly volunteered firefighters who get called via the siren. They also have pagers when on call and an app that alarms them of fires or anything they get called to. They do a competition every year where the firefighters run up the Sky Tower in Auckland in ALL their gear to raise funds for the volunteer brigade and things!

Haha it’s for the volunteer fire department so they know when to come cause they aren’t at a station. Lol I’d totally think it was the purge or something if I wasn’t from here 😆

Re: the fire station siren. if you thought that spooked you out, just imagine that thing going off early morning when the town is deep in fog where you can only see about 2m in front of you...

The first time my mum visited from the UK the fire siren went off in the middle of the night & she came in screaming thinking it was an air raid, she wasn’t even alive during either World War 🙄
