Straight Muslim here. If I were to stand proudly for Palestinian rights, Muslim rights and BLM and neglect another persecuted minority, then I would be no better than the oppressor. We’re not free till we’re all free.

We had a flood in our basement a couple of years ago, and my husband is a big man, beard, tattooed, military, and it's hard to read him.. Very stoic. When the adjuster showed up, you could tell he was uncomfortable. He was very timid around my husband. wouldn't look him in the eye, would give short answers, even tried to deepen his voice a bit. I had gone to a wedding a few months before, and we were all given pride flags to wave after the kiss, I had placed it in a catch-all cup on top of the fridge and had forgot it was even there.. My saint of a husband, tracking what was happening, grabbed something out of the cup that was blocking the little flag..the gentleman noticed it, stared at it for a minute, and instantly his whole demeanor changed. his shoulders relaxed, he smiled more, started joking with my husband. Imagine feeling that unsafe for just being who you are.

My straight son has a 🏳️🌈 bracelet because his twin is a lesbian and one of his best friends is nonbinary. He’s job hunting right now. He wears the 🏳️🌈 bracelet and introduces himself with his pronouns. He doesn’t want to work anywhere where those acts are an issue.

My partner and I are both trans but I've only been on T for 3 years, so I'm still trying to get used to being perceived as a cis-gay couple. I get scared to hold his hand or show affection in public, but any time I see a rainbow/progressive flag I feel such a huge sense of relief! I've never felt such intense, genuine love until I met him and was finally able to fully accept myself. T4T love has changed my life 💙🩷🤍🩷💙

I think homephobes are just jealous because we are more confident and loving, and they will never know that feeling. That we Accept more than them. Sometimes people need to accept difference. Times change and they need to adapt. More and more things are accepted.....

10 years ago I was in a store & I was wearing a t-shirt that said Love is Love on the back in rainbow colors. A shy teen boy came up and whispered that he loved my shirt. He was gone so quick that I couldn't even respond.
