@jujumaoo: 🇵🇭 Ube Bicho Bicho w/ @Donut Daddy I look like a munchkin next to donut daddy but had so much fun w this collab!! 🙌 We made Filipino donuts called Bicho bicho also known as Shakoy. 🍩 INGREDIENTS: Dry: - 3 cups all purpose flour - 2 tsp ube powder Wet: - 1 cup milk - ¼ cup white sugar - 1 piece egg, beaten - 3 tbsp butter, melted and cooled - 2 tsp active dry yeast - 300g of ube, boiled and mashed Others: - oil for frying - xinnamon sugar (1 cup sugar, 1 tbsp cinnamon) INSTRUCTIONS: - In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and ube powder. - In a separate bowl pour in milk, beaten eggs, and melted butter and add yeast. - Chop and peel ube before adding it into a pot of boiling water. Remove once softened, and place through a ricer or mash it together manually with a fork. - Mix wet (including the mashed ube) and dry ingredients using a mixer until a sticky dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 7–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. - Shape into a ball, lightly oil, and let rise in a covered bowl until doubled (30–60 mins). - Punch down and roll into a log, then cut into 8 pieces. Keep covered to prevent drying. - Roll each piece into a rope, twisting as you pinch the ends together. Let the twisted dough rest and rise again until nearly doubled, before placing in oil at 165C for about 3–5 mins. - Coat in cinnamon sugar and serve and enjoy! #asmr #cookingasmr #pinoyfood #filipinofood
