Some of yall didnt pass Science class, did you? First of all, every body has bacteria on them, and not all bacteria is bad bacteria. Antibacterial soap is going to give you the best results in a petri dish, however it is absolutely the worse thing tl use on your skin. Thats the equivalent of our black grandmas bathing us in a tub with a capsule of bleach (iykyk) which actually destroys good bacteria that actually help protect our skin while being an irritant to the skins natural healthy biome. Regular soap is a step down from that intensity, where it's not going to be as irritating to the skin as an Antibacterial soap, but can still cause issues for people with sensitive skin. BUT - IT HAS TO ACTUALLY SAY/BE SOAP. Dove is not SOAP. Those petri dishes arent nessicarily showing BAD bacteria growths. Dove has ultra moisturizing ingredients that actually protect the skin - things that are going to break down to good bacteria that actually help protect the skin. So yes, after using Dove, the Petri dish is going to be more full of bacteria because your skin is now a healthy biome of good bacteria that are actually working to protect you and your skin.

Dove isn't soap, though... It's a beauty cleansing bar, or something like that. Body wash isnt soap either, it's body wash. The product has to actually say soap, to be soap, because soap is short for saponification...

We have so many other things to worry about in the world right now then this damn hygeine war. Soap is soap is soap. I have a bachelors in science and I’m getting my masters in integrated biotechnology anything that lathers is fine. Using an antibacterial soap every day is too harsh on the skin. Some people have sensitive skin so the only thing they can use is dove sensitive or something similar. If you are using a lathering soap and washcloth you are getting clean especially if you are also exfoliating 3x a week. Plz dead this ish 😐

Dove is not a soap it’s a beauty bar which is why you use soap with a luffa, wash cloth, or African net soap and the beauty bar to moisturize. Also my guy we taught them how to wash for decades and they still don’t get it so Miss me with this.

You also have to know the difference between beauty bar vs soap bar. If it says beauty bar it’s not real soap. They can’t legally call it soap because of the ingredients.
