Well basically rug isnt furniture. Furniture that you can “used” like you can sat on the table chair with dinner, that is furniture. Rug is an accessory, that you can “place” on the floor, like you have place the picture frame on the wall, that is accessory

I would argue a rug is decor. Furniture is decor that a human interacts with, or has some kind of use. Decor itself is just something thag sits there and looks nice but you dont interact with in any way.

Cam is right, it's not furniture but not for the reason he gave. His explanation of furniture was vague, didn't really explain anything. Furniture is large moveable equipment that helps us live day to day lives. A couch is large and moveable. A rug is moveable but not large.
