One of my most asked questions recently goes something like this — “my content isn’t reaching any new eyes as of lately, how can I reach more non followers?” Let me just start off by saying that there are no “hacks” for reaching non followers & the BEST thing you can do is pay attention to your analytics But because I always give you all the deets, let’s breakdown what really works: 1- Post reels to just the reels tab (not to your feed): I don’t recommend posting all reels here but when you post reels to only the reels tab you oftentimes will reach more non followers. This doesn’t always mean though that those non followers will convert into followers so you need to make sure that the content you post to just the reels tab is EXTRA good because it’s being mainly seen by brand new people who don’t know you yet. 2- Create shareable content: yes, I know what you’re thinking… “this is such a general tip” but when was the last time you focused on creating shareable content and not just content that will “perform well”? I encourage you to look at your analytics & find past content that was shared the most and repurpose it AND look at the content you are sharing of others and ask yourself why 3- Get on the explore page: there are many pieces to this, a whole lesson worth actually, but a big part of getting on the explore page is people sharing & saving your content and the other key piece is how quickly your community interacts with the content after you post it 4- Collaborate with other accounts: this is a sure way to reach new people because you’re pooling together 2 audiences 5- Take the time to connect with your current community: when you take care of your people they’ll take care of you (by sharing and interacting with your account) 6- Get people to add you to their favorites feed: I talked about this 2 reels back 7- Create unique content: this is also a whole lessons worth by itself but let me just say that the “5 tips” and “how tos” aren’t going to cut it in helping you reach new people.
