The dad of four from Oxted, England, became committed to improving cardiac survival rates worldwide. To champion his mountainous mission, the 62-year-old traveled to the Himalayas to install what he claims is the world's highest defibrillator. At 22,000 feet he tested the life-saving device before installing it at a village near Everest Base Camp at 16,500 feet. Just three weeks later, the defibrillator became a lifesaver, when it was used to revive a young female climber whose heart had stopped."It was the proudest moment of my life when I learnt what had happened," said Sullivan, "And I hope it will help people realize how important it is to have access to defibrillators."
