bottom line is, it's all about the premium! for me - I look for the cheapest stock I can find to do options so I make the most premium per trade!!

Use SPLG instead of SPY and achieve the same thing at a lower stock price. Also sell puts until assigned if called out of shares.

When I first heard about the options wheel strategy I thought I'd need to tie up SO much capital like your SPY example. Now that my LT strategy is running itself its all about income generating strategies. You've done a great job here calling out the difference and how options probably wouldn't make sense for someone chasing the former.

New to options trading and had been running a modified wheel with spy and a few other funds like brkb and nvda. My goal was to make .6% a week or so. I’m going to join you on the HIMS experiment. Originally I sold a put to enter HIMS and got hit with the pullback on the 23rd, I rolled but still lost a bit. I took your advice and just purchased the shares around 49.5 this morning. Sold the calls at 50 which might have been too aggressive?
