As someone who has non-epileptic seizures, you can still be having a seizure and be slightly conscious. Not every seizure is the same.

I was once unresponsive and they did the sternum rub and held my arm over my head and dropped it. Both hurt like hell but I physically couldn’t move or let them know. I told them when I woke up and could move that I was aware of everything they were doing to me

Stern run hurts like hell. I was semi-conscious trying to stay awake as I was on gas and air and in a lot of pain and that shot me right up, felt like a fever dream

I’ve had severe pain in my knees for 1,5 years. All doctors I’ve went to though I was faking. Turns out I was born with way too high kneecaps and I’ll need a mayor surgery in both knees if I don’t want to end up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life

I had a nurse not belive me when I said it was hard to breathe after my spinal fusion…got called back on Christmas Eve because my x-rays showed a collapsed lung

sternal rubs are no longer recommended since they can cause lasting pain so if the patient ends up with chest pain/heart problems it's harder to realise since their chest already hurts. I was taught to pinch the pressure point in the webbing of the thumb and palm

stern rub... it hurts the next day... they did it alot when I ODed they had no clue what I took. but I had bruises all over my chest.

I had a faint then seizure and woke up with a bloody nose. Turns out a doctor decided I was faking so dropped my hand on my face and I hit myself in the nose. I got 2 black eyes. Such a horrible thing to do to someone.

as an epileptic person, semi-conscious seizures happen all the time, don't assume someone's faking because they're not fully unconscious during a seizure !
