@brookevestrand: WE ARE PAINTING! But Iโm so stumped by this room! How can I design it or decorate it to make it feel better. Help a girl out this is giving me a headache ๐
Reading nook or a rocking chair if baby will be in there with you! I think some crown molding would help too and ceiling to floor curtains

definitely a seating area! maybe flip the bed and the long dresser? i feel like that wall is a little smaller so it might make and easier flow for your seating area by the door when you walk in! if you want a wood bed frame and dressers, colored nightstands for sure! i also like the rug suggestions ๐

So much potential! Maybe wall to wall curtains on that far wall and definitely a seating area with two arm chairs & table

I think your bed should go between your windows. Then a night stand in front of each window. Itโll be the focus point of the room. Plus you wouldnโt have to walk around the bed. Then one dresser against one of the walls. (I vote right side) And a little chair/lamp in the corner by the closet. Bonus if itโs comfy to rock baby in.

Honestly once baby is in its going to take up some space. Add blackout curtains, nice curtain rods, your bassinet/crib and a little changing area (or basket of baby needs). Get a new dresser and bedset, maybe a rug! Make sure you anchor your furniture and tv/mirror.

Bed skirt? Bench at the end of the bed! Def put a chair in there for when baby is there for rocking! Also a little reading nook! I wish I would have done this before my daughter was born bc our room is still empty ๐

With how much wall space there is, maybe an accent wall or wallpaper (even a chair rail situation?) could help break that up! Also curtains and a rocking chair/glider would be perfect!

Have you tried Chat GPT for ideas? Iโve seen a few creators use it and they had some great ideas to use

Designer here: paint, yes, more taupey off white. You need an area rug maybe Anniston by Loloi or similar? All your inspo pics have these kinda rugs. A wood headboard and framed art will help the negative space. & I would move the bed more left and bring in a big comfy chair with a standing lamp. And curtains at ceiling height- pottery barn has nice ones. Good luck!

you need a rug, and a long dresser not a tall dresser. the one you have the TV on is too tall. mount the TV to the wall. put a chair in the corner

I think artwork and some linens would help a ton! Window treatments and more color for the bedding would be great. I wonder if you could do almost grass cloth wrapped furniture piece or maybe something thatโs metal and glass since you will have a lot of wood pieces?

Large artwork and a large area rug (look online for appropriate size guides, donโt buy too small) would update this space immediately, I wouldnโt put a seating area if you wonโt use it, it just becomes a place to throw stuff.

Green wooden nightstands and orange blankets and pillows to accessorize the bed would bring so much life to this room ๐ And you need some sheer curtains! I love how spacious it is!!! And the wood trim is so cute!

Paint, rug, curtains, art work would make the biggest difference .. you could do a little vintage vanity moment in the corner. Love the wood bed frame idea but I would get bigger nightstands that are some like moody green color and move the mirror in between the windows.

I think a large, colorful rug like the one in your Pinterest board would make all the difference to start. Itโll add dimension and set the tone for everything else.

I would definitely use one of the corners for a chair. Like maybe a glider to rock the baby or even a nice cozy chair and ottoman for reading or relaxing. I Wish I had room in my master for a cozy corner chair, so Iโm a lil jealous of your huge bedroom:)

One thing I loved about your Charlotte home was your living room wallpaper. Iโm all for wallpaper. Maybe a statement headboard with that large wall.

We have a huge primary too. We put a rocking chair/recliner and changing station in a corner for my daughter and it made life so much easier and fills the space nicely! Definitely add a darker textured rug, that will help so much! I feel like some sort of large tapestry or picture above your bed, some nice floor to ceiling curtains and new bedside lighting would do WONDERS! Maybe a subtitle splash of color on your bed too in a throw or a bench at the end of the bed would help? Definitely mount the mirror! Hope this helps a little ๐ซถ๐ผ

Designer checking in! My fav bed for adjustables is the sawyer upholstered bed. It goes with everything! Then do the wood everywhere else and add some contrast with your bedding. Totally agree on Dianaโs rug recs! ^

Yes to the seating area!!! You have more than enough room. I think with paint, a nice canopy wood bed frame, a seating area, curtains and maybe a plant & some art/mirror and ambiance lighting- it will be great!!
