Here’s my list of what I recommend planting here in February Please don’t forget to check things like: soil temperature requirements for germination, sun requirements, seed planting depth and keep those seeds moist during germination ☺️ Seeds starting list: Beans Beets Blue Pea Flower (Clitoria) Borage Carrots Corn Cranberry hibiscus Cucumber Eggplants English Peas Garden Huckleberries Heat tolerant herbs or herbs you don’t mind going to seed: Oregano, mint, rosemary, sage, and thyme I’ve found to be very heat tolerant Luffa Melons Nasturtiums Onions (bunching) Peas Peppers Potatoes (All Types) Radish Roselle Squashes summer Squashes winter Sunflowers Sweet potatoes Swiss Chard Tomatoes Turnips Watermellon Winged Beans This year is warming up very fast here and the following list you can either buy well started transplants and get them in the ground within the next couple of weeks or (like me) hold off on them all together and start seeds for these in late Fall: Brassicas (kale, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels) Carrots Celery Fennel Lettuces and other cool season fruits, veggies and flowers that take more than a couple of months to produce well #seedstarting #seedstartingtips #zone9garden #garden #floridagardening
