I peed off a roof once at like 11 years old, because of this exact rule in my house. when we later moved and my room was in the basement, floor drain it was. it was ridiculous, and usually was less about waking my parents, and more about waking whatever new born we had. oldest of 5. so that was mt entire childhood. they even chain and pad locked fridges and freezers because they had more kids than they could afford to comfortably feed.

My sister had a friend that kinda did the same to her kids. The were allowed to go to the restroom but not flushed it bc she didn’t want her boyfriend to be woken up 🤯

my teenage periods were no joke. one night of bleeding and leaking would have stopped this controlling nonsense in no time, kinda confused how op managed to not destroy all the furniture due to this rule

That's the advantage of being an adult - you get to stay the night where you are most comfortable. Stay in a hotel, at home, at a campground. An adult doesn't have to subject themselves to their parents house rules because they don't have to stay there.
