love your content! I’m a trans man, and I have a few friends who used to be trans men as well and have detransitioned (or retransitioned, or whatever other language they use to describe their experience). While we’re in different places re: gender identity now, we’re absolutely part of a community and have so much in common and so many connections.

I feel more people need to understand that detransitioning and regretting your transition are two different things. A lot of the people I’ve seen that have detransitioned never regretted transitioning, their journey was simply not as linear as others, as that’s okay because we are all different 💛

Girlboss I’m so sorry people make you feel bad for detransitioning or trying to make it some crazy political thing to weaponize against trans people. I hate that people use it as a tool to say transitioning should be illegal because people might change their minds. In what other situation on the planet have we made something illegal due to the risk that people might regret doing it afterwards? If that was a valid argument to criminalize stuff, then it should be illegal to get a mortgage and have children.

detrans perspectives like yours are very important to counter the loud minority of transphobic detransitioners. it's a very personal matter and you shouldn't be expected to tell strangers on the internet about your medical history, but i still feel grateful that you shared this. also, you spoke about this really calmly, i can't imagine how some of those comments must feel. thank you for sharing, i hope people will let you be now❤️

Sorry for using your story as an example, that hate you have been getting is just such proof that even if trans people detransition to follow what some extremists want, we will still be hated. You dont deserve that, anyone should be allowed to explore and express their gender in anyway. ❤️

As a trans person, i valued detransitioner's stories as it helped me make a more informed choice. I know a tiny tiny minority of detransitioners attack the trans community, but ive met so many more that aren't like that, and I value them. I feel like we need to talk more about detransitioning because the community is heavily unsupported and they need are support too!!

In my friendship group we call it 'retransitioning' - like repositioning or just another transition itself - it's hard when neutral terms gain a negative association so imo you do just need to invent new ones ☺️

Solidarity from a trans person here! The few detransitioners I’ve engaged with in actual communities have been wonderful people. Gender isn’t always linear, and complex relationships with gender do not diminish the trans community. We both want autonomy over ourselves, there is no reason we should be misaligned besides the interference of bad actors. It’s important people know there are detransitioners out there who are kind and thriving and have a life beyond gender and grifting. I’ve always loved your content and I didn’t know you had a YouTube channel so I’ll check that out when I’m crunching through my next sewing project!
