Reminder that "emulators" for modern tabletop consoles aren't traditional emulators, they're translation layers since the CPUs in these consoles have an x86_64 architecture which is the same as your average PC. This means that unlike a PS3 emulator which has to recreate the CPU in software (way slower) these don't need to emulate a CPU. They can implement what's called a translation layer which allows your PC to run the same unmodified code as your PS4/5 runs only emulating certain functions of the PS4/5's operating system to their Windows equivalents. Which means that the difference between console and PC performance isn't as big on translation layers. The Steam Deck uses this same technology to translate Windows functions to their Linux equivalent and in some cases even through the translation layer the games perform better on Linux since it is a more lightweight OS.
