It's only confusing when you're trying to presuppose a narrative consistent with the New Testament. Once you simply take the Bible for what it is, instead of trying to harmonize it with your views on Christ, it becomes much simpler

No this is how denominations start. If u want to understand the Bible more pray for wisdom before you read. You don’t have to buy a book about the Holy book. The word is Jesus (John 1.1) you only need the Bible.

Not confused at all. Amazing how when you read and acknowledge it All how uncomfortable common sense and obvious logic becomes. Justified child killing, support of slavery, blood sacrifice and ‘love me or burn in hell’ message seems horrible for a ‘loving’ all powerful God. God creates the most evil being there is, sends him to torment his children and creates natural disasters and diseases to harm his children. He creates the rule of blood sacrifice and death for forgiveness. Seems odd from a loving God to create that. With that said, I believe. I believe in that God and accept who He is. It explains so much of why this world is the way it is.
