@funnybear47: Tik tok is pushing diaspora issues, African braiding shops have been here. Of course there may be issues but every culture has them. #BlackTikTok
Just call yourselves Americans. Stop using African. We in the continent are Watching you all. Keep fighting us for nothing. We got many of you living on our lands and all this while we had a notion that we were one. Now I am starting to think different

The Boycott is more than the African Braiding Shops. I really wish you all will do more research.

I don't blame nobody but bw. immigrants know y'all care more about how y'all look than y'all respect. y'all gotten so lazy to the point, wearing wigs at a young age is acceptable! consistently getting y'all common sense snatched with y'all hairline and now it's apolecia. it's pathetic

African hair braiding is slavery. If you’re ok with that- sit down.

I stop going to African shops because I found a better braider that happened to be a Black American. I never had a problem with their attitudes because a person only has one time to mess up my hair and I will smile, pay them, and never return.

These wars don't exist in real life. There's fewer people promoting this than we think, but they are very active.

I feel like there’s a political investment in division right now so people don’t build solidarity with each other.

But if you haven’t been since you were teenager how can you speak on it? They are definitely mean at our local shops. The women just be aggressive and mean. But so can BA people as well. I’m not for any of it lol no matter the race. I’ve been treated rudely by other races as well.

I don't like the African braiding shop because I want to know who's doing my hair. I need to see the work before hand. I don't want 4 random women on my head at once. Also they braid the edges too tight for my liking.

They are a last minute resource. If I could get in with my normal braiding girl there is no way I would go to a African shop

I don’t go anymore. Not because of discourse but because of the quality. Between four states. I am 47, my oldest is 30. We have always went to African braid shops. That came to a screeching halt over the last 7 years. Between Baltimore, Georgia ( ESPECIALLY GEORGIA), Florida and Virginia. The quality is not the same. The parting, the hair, the WAITING….

When you're going to boycott their business, you might as well boycott "LHH" which is only built on negative mainstream.
