@playfulheartparenting: I can’t believe it’s been ONE YEAR since this little moment of big joy: the birth of Dr. McClub (pun intended). In such a scary time — on bed rest after my water broke at 33 weeks — this tiny, silly moment reminded me how powerful laughter can be. It didn’t fix the fear or the uncertainty, but it helped us all breathe, release some stress, and hold on to hope. Revisiting this moment now, I want to send love to the part of me that still hasn’t fully processed how traumatic that hospital and NICU experience was. During the 20 days I spent holding my sweet girl in the NICU for 8 hours a day, it helped me to visualize future silly moments, all of us snuggling, laughing, and being ridiculous together. I wasn’t sure when or how we’d be back to our regular routine, but I knew laughter would help us heal and find joy even on the hardest days. And it really has. 💞 P.S. Our sweet baby girl is doing very well, and we are so grateful. 🥹🙏🏽 Thankful for how the PHP community showed up to send love and support during such a scary time.
