I work in electrical substations and gas valve settings almost daily, im an utility locator. They LOVE laying in those because its fenced in an protected and has only rock. They always fake a broken wing to draw me away from the nest. I always paint a fluorescent pink border about 20 feet from the nest so no one steps on it. theyre amazing birds

I'm surprised she didn't charge you. We had some eggs right beside our compressor room at work. Everytime I had to go in there she would charge me.
