my employer lets us work on our own vehicles as long as it's not until the end of the day and all work is done. as long as you have an RO open, pull or push the vehicle out and lock up afterwards they don't care. I've stayed until 11pm working on my vehicles before

I have been a senior master technician for Ford for 35 years and I still work on my own vehicles and I still work on cars on the side right now. I’m doing a 65 Mustang refurbished job for my grandkids. I love cars.

Booked my car elsewhere once. Diag. I couldn’t find the fault. My coworkers couldn’t find it either. 4 different garages couldn’t find it. At that point gave up.

GM tech. Wife has a Mazda. I had her take it to the Mazda dealership for basic maintenance. If it had a problem I would decide if it was worth it to to let them do it or take my day off to handle it. Quite often I would have them do it.

The last thing I want to do after working on other people's cars all day, just do anything to my own. I will gladly pay the extra fifteen or twenty dollars to have somebody else.Do it so I don't have to. now, anything further yeah, i'm doing because it's just a cost savings thing
