Any tips on getting the heavier weights to the starting position? I recently hit a PR of 75lbs for 6 reps but going from the seated position to the pressing position was a bit difficult because I rarely use that weight. Feels like I exert a lot of energy trying to lie down with the dumbbells.

The safest way is to start with them in the top. To do this, simply place them as far out on your knees as possible and let the legs follow when you fall back.
