Dark Empire is infinitely better than the Sequels if you truly are able to understand the story the deconstruction of Dark Side Luke is so misconstrued in most cases he looses his way because after his father sacrifices himself to Save him and kill the Emperor he somehow comes back to life Luke had to figure out how he turned in a attempt to understand and stop Sideous and fell in a similar way to Anakin but he had Leia to bring him back

What I like about this and what should’ve been in Star Wars instead of the current sequels we have, is the fact that Luke rejected the dark side once, which inevitably cost him his own father, however this time he accepts it and we see the process of it slowly corrupting him, but at the same time not fully bringing him there. Also due to the fact that he’s a master at what he does, slowly becoming the opposite of what he stands for is super interesting.
