It's so funny to me when folks try to claim that therianthropy has "always been a non physical identity", im in a discord server with multiple middle-late aged therians who were THERE for the creation of the modern community and not only do many see it as physical in some sense, several also attribute it to biological and genetically inherited traits. Tiktok therians would lose their shit listening to elder weres discuss therianthropy 💀💀

I feel like therians (I am a therian) are like the mandolorians- there’s the new ones (this video) and the therians that have been here for thousands of years. This new version of a therian being an identity is actually the side that was created to make others feel better and included when traditional therians are people with the soul of an animal in the wrong body and believes or knows they had past lives as animals. Traditional therians have been proven to be here for centuries dating back to Celtic tribes that depicted similar things that modernized etc. now I don’t care for fighting and I’m not trying to of course I just wish people would stop trying to say that the “new therian” is the REAL therian way when a therian isn’t a belief it is something you are born with and suffer from not to be confused with the mental condition. Traditional therians never changed anything it’s the people who want to be therians for fun while throwing away and ignoring the true meaning and definition or a therian because they want to be included bc it looks “fun” I don’t know where this identification as animals came from but I just don’t want traditional and original therians to be forgotten and turned into a trend💔 I’ve been here a long time and awakened at a young age. I didn’t chose this I was simply born this way
