SMKDDDY3D :
A lot of people say the darkest missions are missions like No Russian, but lets be honest, this mission is probably the darkest one of em all.
.
Think about it, the US was Invaded on a scale no one has seen before. Its a mission that showed the true brutality of War, starting you out in a nearly destroyed Bunker with Dying men all around, with other Soldiers still doing work, with few tending to the injured, and others sitting defeated, wondering if they'll ever see the next day, and if so, what the country would look like. You the. step out and see a Washington DC that looks like it was Nuked, only to then come across the literal White House, that's been taken over by Enemy soldiers, with parts of the Building being destroyed, Dead bodies littering the Lawns, and filling the halls. The war finally ends in America, but it was far from over.
.
It has a semi happy ending for the Marines, but its only Semi, because their fight is far from over, for now they're going to Moscow to retaliate. Truly a Brutal Mission when you really take the time to look at the Environmental Storytelling. New Cod games have their Brutal moments, especially with the Environment, but Mw2 2009 hit different, because it was one of the few games that truly took things to the edge in terms of Brutality.
