bold of you to assume the most successful relationships are friendships 😂

Erin P. :
I won’t value my partner over my friends and I don’t want my partner to do that either. There’s space for all those connections. It’s all about balance and how you prioritize your time.

That’s how romantic relationships are supposed to be, but no one is ready for that conversation.

So we are arguing semantics because of how monogamous culture sees us? As someone who is supposed to practice RA, why are using your definitions to tell me what my relationships look like? why are we allowing the monogamous culture to dictate how we define our relationships?

I relate and also hold space for reflecting prioritization in not only commitments but also phases of life. You can have these fluid friendships as the model (esp within polyamory) but also choose commitments with certain people.

Pinky :
I like the idea of having a partner in that I feel I need at least one mutually beneficial relationship to thrive, and I'm most comfortable living life all up under somebody. But yeah no more hierarchy in the traditional sense. I feel so lost without my ex and that's no ok. I need a web of equally valuable connections.
