Does anyone have advice for dealing with people who are neutral or “don’t care” about this stuff? I’m trying to explain it to my sister since her boyfriend says he’s neutral and doesn’t care about politics but I can’t get through to either of them

I keep getting told “stop worrying and don’t think about it”… but I’m scared for what happens and it keeps me up! I can’t just stop talking about it to people and I can’t stop worrying. My safe people also care, but they’re able to seperate that care from daily worry!

I work all day tomorrow on the 4th of July and we’re suppose to dress up I live in a predominantly republican state and the way I have no energy to try and pretend to be excited and I know these people are going to be celebrating in my face I want to call out so bad but I can’t afford to miss the day of work

Only if I didn’t have to care about politics, damn ancestors for not being rich and white. Unfortunately, my ancestors were white immigrants, Haitian, black and immigrants and well white immigrants and not rich. My grandparents are not rich on my dad side, which are the white immigrants on my mom side is a Canadian immigrant French Canadian immigrant specifically and a black Haitian immigrant that speaks French and we’re not rich and we’re entrepreneurial creating their own businesses and being a nurse at the same time and unfortunately, I’m not privileged enough to not have ADHD

i agree but you can’t do much about the tax dollars. it doesn’t matter who is in power, esp in the states, and if you don’t pay those taxes then you get in trouble. what are you supposed to do in that position? /genuine question

what can i do to help? i’m not old enough to vote and i don’t have any money to put towards anything. i live in a conservative area and it’s hard to speak out, especially with my parents being conservative. i truly want to help but i don’t know where to start.
