Is it weird that I kinda connect to her as an autistic person? Her having to hide her demon marks reminds me of having to mask all the time and how draining it is, and ‘What it Sounds Like’ makes me think of how freeing it felt to drop the mask. Idk if it makes sense.

what's even sadder is that Celine is just doing the best she can with the ways that she was taught. She, too, was raised to believe that she needs to hide and fix her feelings. She DOES love Rumi but, helplessly, she can only repeat the patterns of how she was raised, which only ends up hurting Rumi, Mira and Zoey even more. That's why it is important that by the end of the movie the girls learn that hiding their feelings does nothing but make things worse, ending this generational trauma passed down from hunters to hunters

I understand that some people may hate Celine and that's valid, although she tried her best to raise Rumi despite everything that she was told and thought. She thought hiding their struggles and fears would fix the Hoonmon, because that was all she was knew. It's also her first time raising a child who is like Rumi.
