The most amazing thing about this performance at Live Aid was that Freddie was suffering with a bad throat and was told not to perform to conserve his voice. He performed anyway with his voice not at 100% and still sounded flawless like this.

Fortunately im old enough to say i was there that day as a 15yr old,was stood just in front of the mixing deck (the black square tower) and some random bloke put me on his shoulders because I couldn't see,Queen were on after some band from America who no one in the stadium had ever heard of hence why Freddie did his whole beeeee deeeeee laaaaa laaaaaa because the atmosphere was dead,he had 100 000 people literally eating out of the palm of his hand,ultimate showman and an absolute legendary front man
