I left ICI (long time ago!) because they would hire Oxbridge graduates on a higher salary than me, then I had to mentor them and watch them got loads of training courses whereas I, who had started as a lowly printer operator, was only once sent on a course in ten years. A couple were sound and understood but many were arrogant fools who weren't any cleverer than me...they just had wealth and opportunity behind them. I did resent them.
