According to court documents, the incident happened Saturday, June 21, at a party at 2269 East South Boulevard around 10 p.m. The victim was shot in the thigh and taken to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Court documents say Marice Devonte Watkins, 31, was identified as the suspect, arrested, and charged with first-degree assault. Records added that he shot the victim, “due to [the victim] accidentally stepping on Watkins shoe.” Watkins is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a $30,000 bond. #donyyyaaa___news #explorepage
